Celebrating Literacy at East

Celebrating literacy at East, staff developer Katy Wischow worked with students in grades 3, 4 and 5 on Oct. 8. She visited classrooms to model engaging literacy lessons tailored to each grade level. Third graders focused on vocabulary connected to fiction texts, fourth graders worked on identifying theme in a text and phonics skills, and fifth graders learned how to revise their narrative pieces.
